Ooh La La was established as a costume jewellery brand in Australia in 1985 under the company HP Launder Holdings. Ooh La La Accessory retail stores were opened globally – at the peak of its trading there were 66 stores in Australia, 4 in New Zealand and 4 in China.
In 1990 Swarovski bought into HP Launder Holding, and in 2000 took over ownership of the Ooh La La brand. They quickly opened further stores in the UK as part of their expansion into the costume jewellery market. In 2003, Swarovski ceased to use the Ooh La La brand name.
ln 2010, The Supply Hub officially relaunched the Oohlala brand into the Australian Market in 2011 with a handbag and wallet range, and in late 2012 jewellery followed.
Since the relaunch, under the experienced team at The Supply Hub, the Oohlala brand has gone from strength to strength, with the handbag fast becoming one of the top performing ranges in Australian department stores. The focus on design combined with strong consumer and retailer confidence in Oohlala has facilitated the extension of the brand into costume jewellery, luggage and travel accessories, with further plans for the very near future.
